
Born in Krasnodar, Russia, in 1971, she studied voice at Saint Petersburg Conservatory. Anna Netrebko is an ambassador of Chopard. In 2005 she received the State Prize of the Russian Federation, followed by the People’s Artist of Russia, and in 2017 received the title of Austrian Kammersängerin. The many awards she has received include an International Opera Award as ✻est Female Singer« (2017), the Opera News Award (2016), Musical America’s »Musician of the Year« award (2008), three Grammy nominations, the German Bambi, the Classical BRIT Award as »Singer of the Year« and ✿emale Artist of the Year«. Anna Netrebko was a 2018 Metropolitan Opera Guild Luncheon Honoree. Her extensive discography includes complete operas, concert repertoire, numerous best-selling solo albums and a recording of love duets with her husband, the Azerbaijani tenor Yusif Eyvazov. Anna Netrebko has also been a Deutsche Grammophon exclusive artist since 2002. Her appearances at the World Cup opening at Berlin’s Waldbühne amphitheatre (2006) and Red Square in Moscow (2018) were broadcast internationally. Besides title roles at the world’s leading opera houses, Anna Netrebko has also given concerts in five continents. Her steady broadening of her repertoire in recent years has delighted the music world and secured her place in the annals of opera. Her live performances and award-winning recordings have made a lasting mark on music history. From singing at the opening of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games to being the first female classical musician to be included in TIME magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people, she is opera’s leading global ambassador, and is one of the most convincing and committed female artists in all genres. She is one of the most prominent female singers of the day, and is celebrated worldwide as one of the most important artists of our time.
